Job summary

Farnsworth Group is seeking a Transportation Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 in Illinois. You will work with a team of professionals to address traffic and transportation challenges, prepare design plans, and participate in field observations of transportation projects.

Qualifications include pursuing an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree with a Transportation concentration, proficiency in Word and Excel, and experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.

Farnsworth Group is seeking a Transportation Engineer Intern - Summer 2027. Qualified candidates will have an opportunity to work with a team of experienced Transportation Engineers on a variety of transportation-related projects.

Wh** at You’ll Do:

• Work alongside design professionals to identify and solve traffic and transportation problems.
• Prepare design plans and specifications to document solutions to these problems
• Work in the field to see solutions implemented in construction

What You’ll Need:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited Civil Engineering program, with a concentration in Transportation or Traffic preferred
• Computer proficiency with Word and Excel
• MicroStation and/or AutoCAD experience desired
• Valid Driver’s License
