Job summary

Farnsworth Group is seeking a Transportation Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 in Nashville. Qualified candidates will have an opportunity to work with a team of experienced Transportation Engineers on a variety of transportation-related projects. Housing or relocation is not provided.

You will collaborate with design professionals, prepare design plans and documentation, and gain field exposure to see projects through from concept to construction.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited Civil Engineering program, with a concentration in Transportation or Traffic preferred.
• Computer proficiency with Word and Excel
• MicroStation and/or AutoCAD experience desired
• Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Work alongside design professionals to identify and solve traffic and transportation problems.
• Prepare design plans and specifications to document solutions to these problems
• Work in the field to see solutions implemented in construction
