Job summary

HNTB is seeking an engineer to assist in production and modification of design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans and specifications for assigned projects. You will perform research, development, calculations, design and delivery in partnership with the project team.

This role applies engineering techniques and design criteria for projects of varying size and complexity, developing conceptual and detailed designs using current drawing tools, programs and software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 1 year of relevant experience.
• Experience applying engineering techniques, procedures and design criteria to projects of varying size and complexity.
• Ability to develop conceptual and detailed designs and calculations using current drawing tools and software.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work within the schedule and hours provided.
• Prepares and/or modifies portions of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.
• Develops project quantities and assists with development of cost estimates.
• Assists engineering teams with organization and administrative support of design files.
• Self-sufficiently completes tasks including research, data collection, field investigations, and design of projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
