Job summary

HNTB is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join the highway design team, delivering major conventional and alternative delivery projects.

You will provide advanced engineering, coordination, preconstruction, and program-level technical activities while collaborating with planning, environmental, controls, and traffic teams to ensure accurate, compliant, and high-quality execution of contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience, or
• Master’s degree in Engineering with 7+ years of relevant experience, or
• PhD in Engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Uses senior-level technical expertise to consider broad range of engineering solutions.
• Responsible for planning, work distribution, leadership, and adherence to schedule and budget on complex projects.
• Assists in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation.
• Develops scope of work and level of effort and manages adherence to scope and budget on complex projects.
• Oversees completeness and accuracy of project team’s work within the technical discipline.
• Provides technical guidance and mentoring to team members to achieve project objectives.
• Coordinates technical aspects of the project with client counterparts and teaming partners.
• Leads discipline delivery on larger, multi-disciplinary projects and collaborates with other disciplines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
