Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
• 2+ years of Roadway/Transportation Engineering experience.
• Engineer Intern/Engineer in Training (EI/EIT) preferred.
• DOT/DOH project exposure is a plus.
• Experience designing with CAD software (OpenRoads or Civil 3D) required.
• Experience in roadway geometric design, pavement design, construction document preparation, and Right-of-Way Plan Preparation is a plus.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and preparation of transportation improvement projects for municipal, WVDOH/DOT, and private development clients.
• Perform engineering calculations, analyses, and technical evaluations related to roadway and transportation infrastructure projects.
• Support geometric design, drainage design, construction staging, and plan production activities.
• Prepare design quantities, cost estimates, and supporting project documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, survey, geotechnical, and environmental professionals.
• Participate in project planning, design development, and project delivery efforts while gaining exposure to all phases of transportation engineering projects.
• Develop technical skills in roadway design, drainage, plan production, and project delivery through hands‑on project experience, mentorship, and support toward professional licensure.
