Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is seeking a Transportation Engineering Project Manager in Bridgeport, WV to lead design and run transportation projects from planning through final design. You will manage scope, schedule, and budget while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or transportation engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of transportation design experience.
• PE license or ability to obtain in WV is required.
• Experience with OpenRoads, Civil 3D and/or InRoads is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and plan production for transportation improvement projects, including municipal, WVDOH/DOT, and private development work.
• Manage transportation projects from planning through final design, overseeing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and project deliverables.
• Develop transportation geometry, grading, drainage, and construction plans from preliminary through final design.
• Prepare engineering calculations, quantities, cost estimates, and technical reports.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project solutions.
• Support project scoping, budgeting, scheduling, and proposal development efforts.
• Serve as a key point of contact for clients, agencies, and stakeholders while strengthening long-term relationships.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Contribute to growth of CEC's transportation practice in WV and the region.

• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Contribute to the growth and continued success of CEC's transportation practice throughout West Virginia and the surrounding region.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and performing quality assurance using OpenRoads, Civil 3D, and/or InRoads is required
• Experience with transportation design, including geometry, grading, and drainage
• Familiarity with DOT standards (WVDOH experience preferred)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
