Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants (CEC) in Bridgeport, WV, seeks a Senior Transportation Engineering Project Manager to lead a growing transportation practice. You will guide complex municipal and state projects, mentor engineers, and drive client relationships while shaping regional growth.

This role requires a PE license, 12+ years in transportation engineering, and expertise with OpenRoads/Civil 3D/InRoads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering is required
• 12+ years of experience in Transportation/Highway/Roadway Engineering
• Professional Engineer License (P.E.) is required
• Experience designing and performing QA/QC using OpenRoads, Civil 3D, and/or InRoads is required
• Expertise in scope of service and budget (proposal) development, and demonstrated ability to direct projects profitably
• Proven Business Development/Client Management experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and project managers in the successful delivery of complex transportation engineering projects.
• Provide technical leadership and perform QA/QC reviews to ensure high-quality project deliverables.
• Oversee project contracts, budgets, schedules, and financial performance while driving successful project outcomes.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for practice growth through business development, marketing initiatives, and strategic client engagement.
• Develop new client relationships while strengthening and expanding existing partnerships throughout the transportation market.
• Maintain an active presence within the engineering and transportation community to support CEC's visibility and growth.
• Support staff development through mentoring, performance management, succession planning, and professional growth initiatives.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, agencies, and stakeholders, including participation in public meetings, hearings, and technical presentations.
• Lead project financial management activities, including AR/WIP oversight and resolution of complex project-related issues.
• Contribute to the continued growth, strategy, and long-term success of CEC's transportation practice throughout West Virginia and the surrounding region.]
