Under the direction of a Senior Transportation Engineer, the Transportation Engineer (Civil) processes documents for State or Federally funded Local Assistance projects in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. Responsibilities include reviewing project documents, ensuring compliance with funding requirements, and collaborating with local agencies and consultants.
Refer to the Class Specification for detailed requirements. Candidates must meet the minimum qualifications for the Transportation Engineer (Civil) classification, including education, experience, and licensure as applicable.
Possession of a valid Professional Engineering License (Civil) issued by the California Board of Registration for Professional Engineers is required for Range D. A valid driver’s license is also required.
Submit a 2-page SOQ addressing your experience and skills related to the position, including working independently, managing multiple customers, applying laws and policies, experience with transportation projects, communication skills, and computer proficiency.
