Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is seeking a Transportation Engineer 3 in Lacey, WA to provide statewide technical support for PS&E software, cost-estimating tools, and related training. You will help ensure consistent PS&E practices across the agency and support project teams with estimates and reporting.

Qualifications

• Clear written, verbal, and visual communication.
• Ability to work cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of PS&E and highway design concepts.
• Experience with cost estimating and bid analysis.
• Familiarity with enterprise software and BI tools.
• Understanding data management and governance.

Responsibilities

• Provide statewide technical support for PS&E systems.
• Maintain estimating tables and troubleshoot issues.
• Monitor wage updates and update PS&E.
• Prepare reports using COGNOS and related tools.
• Support office websites and training delivery.
• Develop training tailored to HQ/Region staff.
• Coordinate with IT for software updates and integration.
• Test, evaluate, and deploy programs affecting Design operations.
• Assist with special projects as needed.
