Responsibilities

• Design highways, roads, develop, and implement transportation engineering projects, and other related structures.
• Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD and MicroStation to create detailed designing, planning, and overseeing construction and maintenance of transportation infrastructure including highways, bridges, tunnels, rail project management systems, airports, ports, and mass transit systems to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Conduct studies to determine traffic conditions and analyses to evaluate the most feasible traffic conditions and methods of transportation system design, developing solutions to improve traffic flow and safety.
• Prepare technical cost, safety, and sustainability reports, proposals.
• Utilize design software like AutoCAD and MicroStation to create detailed plans and to communicate project blueprints.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and ensure all designs and projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards, maintaining project timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in transportation engineering or current transportation systems.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation software.
• Experience coordinating with highway design contractors, construction teams, and site development.
• Excellent project management skills, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
