Job summary

Saint Luke's Bishop Spencer Place in Kansas City is seeking a part-time Transportation Driver to transport residents to medical appointments, activities, and events. You will work with a dispatcher to coordinate requests and ensure safety during all trips.

Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, clean and fuel vehicles, assisting residents with transfers, and maintaining a courteous, professional appearance in BSP uniforms. Prior driving experience and a Class E license are required.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of driving experience.
• Valid Driver's License Class E.
• Ability to read maps/directions and follow routes.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents to and from hospitals, doctor appointments, and activities in a safe, professional manner.
• Coordinate with dispatcher to receive transportation requests and verify details.
• Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness and fueling of BSP vehicles.
• Assist with transferring residents and maintain a respectful, compassionate demeanor toward residents and staff.

Drivers will be responsible for keeping vehicles and equipment maintained, ensure vehicle is safe to operate and complete all required forms. Maintain a professional appearance adhering to the BSP dress code. Maintain a professional and courteous service attitude while adhering to BSP's professional code of ethics.**The Work:**Transporting residents in a safe a professional manner. Works with dispatcher to coordinate transportation requests in a timely and efficient manner. Communicates with dispatcher and fellow drivers to receive relevant data and instructions. Maintain a professional behavior, and attitudes in regards to residents, staff, and visitors. Completion of vehicle inspection prior to daily usage for safe and comfortable resident transportation. Assist with transferring and balancing residents.
