Job summary

Bishop Spencer Place is seeking an Activity Coordinator (PRN) to join the Life Enrichment team in Kansas City, MO. The role supports planning and delivering engaging activities for residents of retirement and assisted living programs.

Responsibilities include interviewing residents or families, maintaining activity schedules, and coordinating with care plans to meet physical, mental, and psychosocial needs. Minimum experience is less than 1 year; weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of applicable experience
• PRN schedule with Saturday hours and additional days as needed
• Experience supporting activity programs or elder care is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing activity programs to meet residents' needs
• Interview residents or family members to obtain activity information
• Perform administrative requirements such as completing assessments, forms, and reports
• Order, maintain, and organize equipment and supplies used for activities and events
• Help develop and maintain an activity schedule
• Coordinate activities with residents' care plans to provide daily activities
• Facilitate a wide variety of activities to meet physical, mental, and psychosocial needs and ensure resident participation and satisfaction
• Perform all other duties as assigned

PRN: 8 hours every Saturday and as needed other days • Assists in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the activity programs of community. • Interview residents or family members to obtain activity information. • Perform administrative requirements, such as completing necessary assessments, forms, and reports, etc. • Orders, maintains, and organizes equipment and supplies to be used for activities and related events. • Helps develop and maintain an activity schedule. • Maintains awareness of each resident’s care plan in planning and providing daily activities for the resident. • Facilitates a wide variety of activities to meet the physical, mental, and psychosocial needs of each resident.
