Job summary

Aurora Valley Care is seeking a Transport Driver to safely transport residents to appointments and activities in Spokane Valley, WA. This full-time role involves coordinating transports, keeping accurate logs, and collaborating with care staff to ensure resident well-being.

Offer includes health/dental/vision insurance, 401K, PTO, and tuition assistance. Shifts are Monday-Friday with weekends as scheduled; background check required and CNA preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass MVA Background Check.
• First aid and CPR certifications.
• CNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport and escort residents to/from medical appointments, activities, outings, and general errands.
• Drive a wheelchair lift van with an automatic lift.
• Organize scheduled appointments throughout the day.
• Communicate with facility about resident transportation details.
• Monitor and report changes in condition for residents.
• Collaborate with team to ensure quality of care.
• Work with appointment scheduler on scheduling appointments and transport.
• Assist on the floor answering call lights as a NAC during downtime.

Pay Range: $22-$26

Shifts: Monday-Friday (weekends as scheduled)

Transport Driver Responsibilities:

• Transport and escort residents to/from medical appointments, activities, outings, and general errands
• Ability to organize scheduled appointments throughout the day
• Drive a wheelchair lift van, which is specially equipped with an automatic lift
• Responsible for obtaining directions to the location before leaving facility
• Communicate with facility about any pertinent information related to resident transportation
• Monitor and report any changes in condition with assigned residents
• Complete all transports to/from appointments with promptness, communicating all late arrivals/departures to clinic/facility
• Assist on the floor answering call lights as a NAC when there is downtime
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure quality of care
• Work with appointment scheduler on scheduling appts and transport

Requirements:

• Ability to pass MVA Background Check
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Fast and adaptive problem-solving abilities
• In-depth understanding of patient care policies and regulations
• CNA preferred
• First aid and CPR certifications
