Job summary

Goldwater Care in Pontiac, IL is seeking a Transportation Driver to safely transport patients to and from hospitals, medical offices, dialysis centers, and other approved destinations. You will provide courteous, reliable service while upholding safety protocols and documenting trips.

Requirements include a valid Illinois driver's license, a clean driving record, and strong communication with healthcare staff and patients.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license.
• Pass Background Check.
• Clean driving record and insurance requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work weekends/holidays.
• CNA experience encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients and clients using company vehicles.
• Assist patients with entering and exiting the vehicle for safe transfers.
• Communicate transportation schedules, delays, and instructions with facilities.
• Operate GPS, radio, or cell phone for navigation and updates.
• Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Keep vehicles clean and in good working order.
• Maintain transportation logs, mileage, and vehicle reports.
• Follow traffic laws, policies, and safety procedures.
• Provide professional, respectful service to patients and healthcare staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safely transport patients and clients using company vehicles.
• Assist patients with entering and exiting the vehicle to ensure safe transfers.
• Communicate with the facility regarding transportation schedules, delays, and additional instructions.
• Operate GPS, two-way radio, and/or cell phone for navigation and communication.
• Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Keep company vehicles clean and in good working order.
• Maintain accurate transportation logs, mileage records, and vehicle inspection reports.
• Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures.
• Provide professional and respectful customer service to patients, families, and healthcare staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
