Job summary

McHenry Community Consolidated School District 15's Transportation Department seeks a Dispatcher to manage daily bus routes and staffing, starting ASAP. The role reports to the Director of Transportation and requires a valid Illinois driver's license and a high school diploma.

You will coordinate with principals, parents, and drivers, maintain records and radio comms, and support office operations with data reports and route design.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Illinois driver's license; CDL with school bus endorsement preferred.
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

• Assign driver routes daily and monitor efficiency per procedures.
• Produce reports and tabulations from computerized data.
• Coordinate with principals, parents, and bus drivers on scheduling.
• Maintain radio communication with bus drivers.
• Keep accurate and efficient recordkeeping.
• Establish and monitor routes for the school year and summer.
• Assist in routine office operations.
