Job summary

New England Truck Center in Exeter, NH is seeking a Transportation Dispatcher to serve as the nerve center of the operation. You will coordinate trucks, drivers, and customers in real time, ensuring smooth daily movement and rapid issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Prior logistics or dispatch experience preferred.
• Equipment and construction knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and route them to the right place.
• Dispatch multiple drivers and trucks in real time, juggling location and timing.
• Gather information quickly and relay clearly to drivers and supervisors.
• Document call and billing details in Towbook.
• Back up Transportation Supervisors on driver scheduling.
• Deliver high-level customer service and handle issues calmly and professionally.
• Ensure drivers complete paperwork on time and resolve discrepancies.
• Troubleshoot logistical problems before delays occur.
• Apply knowledge of FMCSA weight, height, and length rules; assist with permits as needed.

Run the Board — New England Truck Center

Location: Exeter, NH (100% on-site) · Pay: $65,000 – $75,000/year based on experience

When the phone rings, the whole operation runs through you. New England Truck Center is hiring a Transportation Dispatcher to be the nerve center of our transportation operation — coordinating trucks, drivers, and customers in real time and keeping everything moving when the day gets loud.

We’re part of the NETC Fleet Services family — one of New England's fastest-growing names in towing, recovery, and commercial truck service. Dispatch is where it all comes together, and we're looking for someone who thrives under pressure, thinks three moves ahead, and stays calm and sharp when five things hit at once.

This is a full-time, Monday–Friday position, 100% on-site in Exeter, NH, with weekend and on-call availability. If you're the kind of person who likes owning the board and being the one everyone counts on, this is your seat.

What you'll do:

• Answer incoming calls and route them to the right place
• Dispatch multiple drivers and trucks in real time, juggling location, timing, equipment, and a dozen moving variables at once
• Gather the right information fast and relay it clearly to drivers and supervisors
• Document call and billing details accurately in Towbook
• Back up the Transportation Supervisors on driver scheduling
• Deliver high-level customer service — and handle issues swiftly, calmly, and professionally when they come up
• Make sure drivers complete their paperwork on time, then review it and resolve any discrepancies
• Troubleshoot logistical problems before they become delays
• Apply working knowledge of FMCSA weight, height, and length rules; assist with oversized/overweight permitting as needed

• A high sense of urgency and the ability to pivot the instant customer needs change
• Strong problem-solving and a cool head under pressure
• Comfort living in computers, dispatch software, and office tools — Towbook, Samsara, GPS, and Microsoft Office
• Solid keyboard skills and the stamina to run the phones for long stretches
• Prior logistics or dispatch experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Equipment and construction knowledge is a plus
