Job summary

Aguirre & Fields is seeking an Engineering Technician with 5-10 years of civil roadway design experience to support design, drafting, and PS&E deliverables on transportation projects.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced OpenRoads Designer technician with strong communication and the ability to develop construction plans per TxDOT standards. Proficiency in ORD and Bluebeam is required, with Bentley accreditation preferred.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of civil engineering design and project experience.
• Experience designing roadways in accordance with TxDOT Roadway Design Manual.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam and OpenRoads Designer (ORD).
• Bentley Accreditation in OpenRoads Designer.

Responsibilities

• Work with the assigned Project Engineer or Project Manager and provide design support as needed.
• Support PS&E deliverables, exhibits, sketches, and quantities.
• Apply project design criteria accurately and consistently.
• Use current CADD tools, standards, and workflows.
• Collaborate with project and CADD teams to resolve technical issues and improve delivery.
