SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Transportation Department Supervisor will have primary responsibility for training, hiring, disciplining, mentoring, counseling, conducting performance appraisals, and giving special instructions to couriers. The Transportation Department Supervisor will also provide guidance to others outside of the department relative to operational limitations of courier operations and parking programs in place at PSH St. Joseph. The position of Transportation Department Supervisor will be required to incidentally perform the duties of courier during unexpected staffing shortages. The Transportation Department Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining a fleet of approximately 12 vehicles. The Transportation Department Supervisor is responsible for maintaining statistical records of the department and assisting the Manager of the Security and Transportation Departments with fulfilling reporting requirements, budget preparation and execution, as well as developing and managing parking plan operations for PSH St. Joseph.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Working knowledge of team function within the organization.
  • Minimum one (1) year manager/supervisory experience.
  • Driver's license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
  • Prior experience as a medical courier.
  • Prior experience as a fleet maintenance manager.
  • Prior experience conducting parking operations.
