Job summary

Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading, PA is seeking a PRN Patient Transporter. Responsibilities include transporting patients to and from diagnostic testing, assisting with room-to-room transfers, and supporting discharge and admission activities under nursing direction.

The role offers evening shifts (3:00 pm–11:00 pm) with a $2.00/hour shift differential. A high school diploma and BLS certification are required or obtained within weeks; orientation includes BLS training.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support certification required or must receive certification within three (3) months of start date.
• Obtain AHA BLS certification by the end of orientation.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
