Job summary

Penn State Health in Hershey, PA is hiring Coordinator Patient Throughput - Patient Logistics to optimize daily patient flow from a clinical perspective. You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to place patients efficiently and support capacity management.

The role emphasizes clinical coordination, process improvement, and close communication with nursing and care teams. Preferred Bachelor’s in Nursing and strong critical thinking, project management, and relationship-building

Coordinator Patient Throughput - Patient Logistics

Responsible for coordinating, from a clinical perspective, the necessary resources to expedite patient flow on a daily basis. Interacts regularly with the interdisciplinary team to facilitate patient placement. Identifies, facilitates, and implements process change to improve patient flow and facility capacity.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Three (3) years' experience in Nursing required
  • Currently licensed as a registered nurse by the Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills, independent critical thinking, conflict resolution, project management and clinical analytical skills.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships, coordinate and manage multiple initiatives.
