Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transportation Data Steward to lead data definition, governance, and reuse across the Transportation Business Group. This role is embedded in the transportation domain, not IT, and focuses on enabling project delivery through standardized data practices.

The position emphasizes collaboration with subject matter experts and technical authorities to align data workflows with HDR's strategy and to empower teams to reuse data efficiently across projects and time.

Qualifications

• Ten years of strategic leadership experience focused on growing, developing and leading teams in change management and working with data.
• Fifteen years of data-centric solutions and services to an organization and the industry.
• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, data science, business, computer science, or related discipline or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Establish and coordinate a network of SME expertise to define technical standards across Transportation BG.
• Develop and maintain business-aligned data definitions for key engineering/technical terms.
• Promote consistent, responsible use of technical data and data quality best practices.
• Support governance of externally sourced datasets and data lifecycle considerations.
• Lead change management to drive adoption of data standards, practices, and tools across Transportation BG.
