Job summary

Heniff Transportation Systems, LLC is seeking a Transportation Coordinator in North Charleston, SC to optimize the transportation network and ensure on-time, safe deliveries. The role requires data entry, driver dispatch, and coordination with logistics teams while adhering to DOT regulations and safety policies.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of transportation experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year transportation experience.
• Experience using Microsoft Office.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter complete and accurate data about the customer’s orders into the computer system.
• Generate Travel Orders and relay that information to the drivers via printed Travel Orders, verbally and via satellite.
• Dispatch drivers for shipment pick-ups and deliveries.
• Track and manage drivers, assign routes, destinations, and timelines.
• Communicate with Logistics Operations, customers, employees and other terminal locations to meet requirements.
