Position Purpose:
Responsible for performing a variety of clerical duties and providing support to the Transportation Department.
Essential Functions:
- Review and process driver payroll and status changes
- Monitor new and existing accounts in Roadnet, Peoplenet, and Cooltrax databases
- Review dashboard links, monitor drivers' routes, and inform supervisors/managers and Customer Care of potential route changes
- Provide transportation assistance for driver call-ins regarding route delivery issues and customer callbacks
- Receive driver receipts and accompanying paperwork, investigate and correct discrepancies, process invoices, and handle deposits of customer checks
- Organize driver paperwork for Claims and archive it
- Coordinate new drivers' phone setups, corporate lodging cards, fuel cards, uniform orders, etc.
- Process all driver paperwork (manifests, DVIRs, fuel receipts, hotel bills, COD checks, etc.)
- Contact customers for reviews, late deliveries, etc.
- Perform other relevant job duties as required
Experience:
Warehouse/Operations/Transportation experience is preferred but not required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Understanding of safety guidelines
- Strong knowledge of applicable computer systems
- DOT compliance knowledge is a plus
- Understanding procedures in other warehouse areas for a comprehensive process overview
- Working knowledge of Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Ability to interact effectively across departments and management levels
- Equipment knowledge is a plus
Physical Environment and Demands:
- Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment
- May require sitting for long periods at a desk or computer
- Regularly required to sit, use hands for typing, filing, grasping, fine manipulation, reach, and talk or hear
- Use of calculators, keyboards, telephones, and other office equipment
- May involve stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching
- Exposure to temperatures from -20°F to 35°F in perishable operations and 37°F to 90°F in grocery operations
- Repetitive arm, wrist, and hand movements for maintenance and service tasks
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and focus adjustment
