Job summary

Bosch is hiring a Transportation Coordinator to monitor and coordinate freight movements, ensuring on-time pickups and deliveries. You will serve as the main communication link between carriers, drivers, customers, dispatch, and internal teams.

The role requires coordinating with TMS, tracking systems, and GPS tools to provide status updates, resolve issues, and maintain accurate records for efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, dispatch, customer service, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), GPS platforms, or shipment tracking software preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and track shipments from pickup through final delivery using TMS, carrier websites, GPS tracking tools, and logistics platforms.
  • Provide real-time shipment status updates to customers, operations teams, and management.
  • Communicate with carriers and drivers to obtain location information and ETAs.
  • Identify service disruptions, delays, and exceptions, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Ensure transportation milestones are updated accurately and timely in company systems.
  • Document shipment activities, communications, and service exceptions.
  • Review and verify proof-of-delivery (POD) documentation and shipment completion records.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and transportation regulations.
  • Support transportation planning and dispatch teams with shipment visibility and status reporting.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly tracking reports and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with customers, warehouses, carriers, and cross-functional teams to resolve transportation issues.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives focused on transportation visibility and service performance.

Job Description

Under the general direction of the Logistics Supervisor, The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for monitoring, tracking, and coordinating the movement of freight to ensure on-time pickup and delivery. This position serves as a key communication link between carriers, drivers, customers, dispatch personnel, and internal stakeholders. This role proactively identifies and resolves transportation issues, provides shipment status updates, and maintains accurate transportation records to support operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
