Job summary

Bosch is hiring a Transportation Coordinator to monitor, track, and coordinate freight movement ensuring on‑time pickup and delivery. The role acts as a communication link among carriers, drivers, customers, dispatch, and internal teams.

You will use TMS and GPS tools to provide real‑time updates, identify disruptions, and implement recovery plans while ensuring compliance and accurate POD documentation. This position supports continuous improvement in transportation visibility and service

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, dispatch, customer service, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), GPS platforms, or shipment tracking software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and track shipments from pickup through final delivery using TMS, carrier websites, GPS tracking tools, and other logistics platforms.
  • Provide real-time shipment status updates to customers, operations teams, and management.
  • Communicate with carriers and drivers to obtain accurate location information and ETAs.
  • Identify service disruptions, delays, and exceptions, and upscale issues as needed.
  • Coordinate recovery plans for delayed, missed, or at‑risk shipments.
  • Ensure transportation milestones are updated accurately and timely in company systems.
  • Document shipment activities, communications, and service exceptions.
  • Review and verify POD documentation and shipment completion records.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and transportation regulations.
  • Support transportation planning and dispatch teams with shipment visibility and status reporting.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly tracking reports and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with customers, warehouses, carriers, and cross‑functional teams to resolve transportation issues.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives focused on transportation visibility and service performance.

Job description

Under the general direction of the Logistics Supervisor, The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for monitoring, tracking, and coordinating the movement of freight to ensure on-time pickup and delivery. This position serves as a key communication link between carriers, drivers, customers, dispatch personnel, and internal stakeholders. This role proactively identifies and resolves transportation issues, provides shipment status updates, and maintains accurate transportation records to support operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Principal Duties:

  • Monitor and track shipments from pickup through final delivery using transportation management systems (TMS), carrier websites, GPS tracking tools, and other logistics platforms.
  • Provide real-time shipment status updates to customers, operations teams, and management.
  • Communicate with carriers and drivers to obtain accurate location information and estimated times of arrival (ETAs).
  • Identify service disruptions, delays, and exceptions, and upscale issues as needed.
  • Coordinate recovery plans for delayed, missed, or at-risk shipments.
  • Ensure transportation milestones are updated accurately and timely in company systems.
  • Document shipment activities, communications, and service exceptions.
  • Review and verify proof-of-delivery (POD) documentation and shipment completion records.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and transportation regulations.
  • Support transportation planning and dispatch teams with shipment visibility and status reporting.
