Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor to join our Lancaster, PA team. This full-time role supports our Construction Engineering and Inspection Practice on PennDOT projects, highway and bridge work, with statewide opportunities.

The ideal candidate has extensive PennDOT inspection experience, strong leadership, and the required certifications. A minimum five years of field supervision is expected, with progression toward senior oversight

Qualifications

• Minimum PennDOT experience as TCIS-2 or higher with required certifications.
• Must have NICET Level IV certification or higher in Highway Construction.
• Three or more related PennDOT certifications preferred.
• Eight or more years in inspection supervision for highways/bridges.
• Twelve or more years of transportation inspection management experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction site work and verify conformance to plans.
• Take field measurements and perform calculations.
• Prepare inspection reports and ensure proper materials are used.
• Monitor compliance with specifications and special provisions.
• Provide supervision and perform other duties as assigned.

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Transportation Construction Inspection Supervisor to join our team in Lancaster, PA. This is a full-time opportunity.

TRC is seeking a Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor to join our Construction Engineering and Inspection Practice in Lancaster, PA and throughout Pennsylvania (statewide). The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of transportation construction experience, including experience working on PennDOT, Pennsylvania Turnpike, highway and/or bridge projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect various facets of work on the construction site.
• Take field measurements and perform calculations.
• Prepare relevant inspection reports.
• Verify that appropriate materials and construction processes are being used.
• Ensure that construction conforms to the project plans, specifications, and special provisions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• One (1) year minimum PennDOT experience as a Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor (TCIS-2) or higher and has all three (3) certifications: PENNDOT Concrete Technician Certification, NECEPT Field Technician Certification and NICET Level III Certification or higher in Highway Construction, only NICET Certifications in Highway Construction are allowed unless special circumstances of other NICET subfields are requested for Central Office approval.
• One (1) year minimum PennDOT experience as a Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor 2 (TCIS-2) or higher, and has attained NICET Level IV Certification in Highway Construction, only NICET Certifications in Highway Construction are allowed unless special circumstances of other NICET subfields are requested for Central Office approval and either PennDOT Concrete Technician Certification or NECEPT Field Technician Certification.
• Three (3) year minimum PennDOT experience as a Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor 1 (TCIS-1) or higher, and has two (2) of the following three (3) certifications: PennDOT Concrete Technician Certification, NECEPT Field Technician Certification, or NICET Level III Certification or higher in Highway Construction, only NICET Certifications in Highway Construction are allowed unless special circumstances of other NICET subfields are requested for Central Office approval.
• Eight (8) years minimum of transportation, highway or bridge construction inspection supervision/management experience and has either PennDOT Concrete Technician Certification and NECEPT Field Technician Certification OR NICET Level IV Certification in Highway Construction, only NICET Certifications in Highway Construction are allowed unless special circumstances of other NICET subfields are requested for Central Office approval.
• Twelve (12) years minimum of transportation, highway or bridge construction inspection supervision/management experience acceptable to the Department.

Compensation

In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range

USD $36.08 - USD $46.90 /Hr.
