Job summary

Quality Engineering Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Construction Inspector 2 (TCI-2) to join our Pennsylvania team. The incumbent will inspect roadway, highway, and bridge projects, document daily progress, and ensure compliance with plans, specs, and permits.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year PennDOT TCI-1+ or two years general transport inspection with a relevant certification.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills for daily progress and cost estimates.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections to ensure roadway, highway, and bridge projects meet plans and specs.
• Monitor materials testing for soils, concrete, aggregates, and bituminous products.
• Meet with project staff to receive instructions and assignments.
• Complete daily progress reports, cost estimates, and material usage records.
• Ensure compliance with permits and erosion/sedimentation controls.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Management

Active PE License or professional engineering designation

PennDOT Concrete Technician Certification

NECEPT Field Technician Certification

NICET Level I/II in Highway Construction
