Job summary

Quality Engineering Solutions, Inc. (QES) is seeking a Transportation Construction Inspector 2 (TCI-2) to join our team in Pennsylvania.

The role performs technical inspections on roadway, highway, and bridge projects, ensuring conformance to plans and specifications and conducting QA on materials testing. Responsibilities include documentation, permit compliance, and regular meetings with project leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum PennDOT/TCI experience or equivalent as specified in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical inspections to ensure contractors build to plans and specs.
• Monitor materials testing for soils, concrete, aggregates, and bituminous products.
• Complete daily progress reports and project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with permits, erosion and sedimentation controls, and QA procedures.
• Coordinate with Client Project Engineer/Manager for instructions and assignments.

Skills

Transportation inspection experience

Education

Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering or related field; or active PE license

Tools

PennDOT Concrete Technician Certification

NECEPT Field Technician Certification

NICET Level II Certification in Highway Construction
