Job summary

Artheon is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector for projects in New Jersey. You will perform daily site inspections, material testing, and ensure compliance with MPT standards and safety regulations.

Key duties include logging materials, coordinating with Resident Engineers, and preparing inspection reports. Requires 3+ years in heavy highway construction and NICET II or higher certifications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Heavy Highway construction.
• Strong written communication and ability to read complex blueprints.
• Familiarity with agency electronic record systems (Site Manager, CapEx).
• Reliable vehicle for travel to/from and on job site.
• Familiarity with NJDOT or NJ Turnpike standards.

Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance: Observe work to ensure compliance with project specs; inspect paving, drainage, and structural elements.
• Document Control: Prepare daily inspection reports and logs of materials used.
• Safety & Compliance: Monitor work zones for safety, MPT compliance, and OSHA regulations.
• Project Administration: Assist Resident Engineers with submittals, pay items, and monthly estimates.
