Job summary

Artheon is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector for projects in New Jersey. The role focuses on inspecting heavy highway, bridge, and road construction to ensure compliance with plans, specs, and safety standards.

Daily site inspections, material testing, and maintaining logs are core duties. Responsibilities include document control, MPT and OSHA compliance, and assisting Resident Engineers with submittals and pay-item tracking.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Heavy Highway construction.
• Certified NICET II or higher; ACI Field Grade I; NJSAT; Rutgers TCC.
• Ability to read complex blueprints and use agency electronic record systems.
• Must have reliable personal vehicle for travel to/from job sites and on-site visits.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance: observe work in progress and ensure adherence to specs and materials.
• Document Control: prepare daily inspection reports and logs of materials and quantities.
• Safety & Compliance: monitor work zones for MPT and OSHA compliance; identify unsafe conditions.
