Job summary

Artheon is seeking a Construction Inspector to join our team in New Jersey, focusing on heavy highway, bridge, and road projects. Responsibilities include daily site inspections, material testing, and maintaining logs to ensure compliance with project plans and safety regulations.

The role requires NICET II and related certifications, with expertise in reading blueprints and using agency record systems. A reliable vehicle and strong technical writing are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Heavy Highway construction.
• NICET II or higher, ACI Field Grade I, NJSAT, Rutgers TCC certifications.
• Ability to read complex blueprints; strong written communication.
• Familiarity with agency electronic record systems (Site Manager, CapEx).
• Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance: Observe work in progress to ensure procedures and materials meet project specs.
• Document Control: Prepare daily inspection reports and maintain material logs.
• Safety & Compliance: Monitor work zones for safety and environmental compliance (MPT, OSHA).
• Project Administration: Assist Resident Engineers with submittals, pay item tracking, and monthly estimates.
