Job summary

CDR Maguire is seeking Transportation Construction Inspectors for projects in Elk, Clearfield, and Centre counties within PennDOT District 2. The role involves consulting with contractors, engineers, and job superintendents on plans, specs, materials, equipment and safety practices, and preparing daily progress reports and payment claims.

Ideal candidates will have a BS Civil Engineering, NICET Level 2+ in Transportation/Highway Construction, plus OSHA 10-Hour certification and ECMS experience.

Qualifications

• Two years of transportation, highway, or bridge construction experience preferred; new grads encouraged to apply.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English and perform basic math for length, area, and volume.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with contract documents by the contractor.
• Ensure compliance with the contractor’s health and safety plan.
• Check delivered materials conform to contract documents and verify contractor’s layout.
