Job summary

CDR Maguire Inc. is seeking Transportation Construction Inspectors for projects in Elk, Clearfield, and Centre counties within PennDOT District 2 for the 2027 season.

The TCI will consult with contractors, consultants, engineers, job superintendents, and others on plans, specifications, materials, equipment, and safety precautions involved in construction and installation of the work. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to read, write, and perform basic math, and a valid

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or post-secondary education and ability to read, write, and communicate in English and do basic math computations for length, area, and volume.
• Two years of transportation, highway, or bridge construction experience is preferred, but recent engineer graduates interested in Construction Inspection are encouraged to apply. Must have a valid driver's license.
• The following certifications are preferred: NICET Level 2 or higher in Transportation/Highway Construction, OSHA 10-Hour, PennDOT certifications, ECMS experience, and other related credentials.

Responsibilities

• Travel as required around PennDOT District 12, Washington County related to duties or as directed by supervisor.
• Prepare and submit daily reports of work performed.
• Maintain progress schedules and check shop drawings and contractors' quotations for variations.
• Keep records of quantities and cost of materials used and prepare contractor payment claims.
