Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, Inc. is seeking a qualified Construction Inspector to oversee roadway and site improvement projects in the southeast Pennsylvania region, acting as the client’s representative and ensuring contract adherence, inspection accuracy, and safety compliance.

The position requires 3–5+ years of heavy/highway construction experience and a high school diploma or GED. Travel to local work locations and strong written communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of traffic maintenance, earthwork, roadway, structure/bridge construction techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to interface with inspectors, contractors, and owners.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and field reporting is required.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan, coordinate, inspect and oversee day-to-day project inspection activities to ensure contractor compliance and adherence to plans, contracts, and standards.
• Review and maintain project documentation (inspection reports, work orders, estimates) ensuring progress, environmental permits, safety, and DBE/EEO compliance.
• Attend pre-bid/pre-construction and management meetings, assist with project correspondences, and provide progress updates to the client.
