Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) is seeking a Construction Inspector to oversee and inspect roadway and site improvement projects in the southeast Pennsylvania region. You will act as the client’s representative and verify contract adherence, document progress, and monitor quality and safety.

This role involves field work with possible night shifts or weekends. Transportation to various sites is required, and motor vehicle screening must be completed by JMT prior to employment.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of heavy/highway construction experience desired.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent communication and writing skills are essential.
• Active driver’s license and reliable vehicle required for local travel; must pass MVS.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, inspect, and oversee project inspection activities to ensure contractor compliance.
• Review and maintain project documentation and verify progress, safety, and environmental conditions.
• Attend pre-bid/pre-construction meetings and provide project updates to the client.
• Interact with public, agencies, contractors, and others to respond to inquiries and resolve field issues.
