Job summary

PRR in Seattle is seeking a Communications Specialist, Transportation to support outreach for major Seattle transportation projects. The role can be remote but requires in-person outreach around Seattle and occasional visits to Shoreline and WSDOT HQ.

You will craft content, manage inquiries, and help plan events. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in community engagement or strategic communications, strong writing in AP style, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in community engagement or strategic communications
• Experience in PR/communications consulting or public sector work
• Strong writing/editing in AP style and client templates
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Support the project team on community engagement and construction communications
• Plan, execute, and summarize events and engagement activities
• Research, write, and edit project communications content
• Capture content (photos and video) for use in communications
• Manage project inbox/hotline and respond to inquiries
• Support media and legislative event materials
• Participate in project communications meetings and coordinate with teams
