Job summary

PRR, INC. is seeking a Community Engagement Specialist to support communications and engagement for Seattle-area transportation projects.

The role includes public-facing outreach, event planning, and content creation, with remote work possible and in-person engagements around Seattle and Shoreline. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in community engagement or strategic communications, experience in PR/communications, and a commitment to social justice.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of work experience in community engagement or strategic communications.
• Experience in PR/comms/public affairs consulting, customer or client service, construction and/or for government agencies.

Responsibilities

• Support community engagement and construction communications as part of strategy.
• Plan, execute, summarize events reaching priority communities.
• Conduct door-to-door outreach in identified neighborhoods.
• Write and edit project communications per AP/style guides.
• Capture site content (photos/videos) for communications.
• Manage project inbox/hotline responses and coordinate with contractor.
• Support media and legislative event planning and materials development.
