Job summary

PRR is seeking an entry-level Community Engagement Project Coordinator to support communications and engagement for Puget Sound water projects. The role is hybrid, based in Seattle, with in-person events and occasional evenings/weekends.

Candidates with commitment to social and racial justice, multilingual skills, and interest in water infrastructure are encouraged to apply. Requires driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or journalism or equivalent experience in communications.
  • Experience working with historically underserved communities is highly desired.
  • Experience in customer or client service and/or public sector is highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation of communications and community engagement plans to reach underserved populations.
  • Convey project information at in-person events including evenings and weekends.
  • Maintain databases for contacts, events, and correspondence.
  • Draft responses to questions from community members and prepare meeting notes.
