Job summary

PRR, Inc. in Seattle seeks a Communications Specialist, Transportation to support community engagement and construction communications for major Seattle-area projects.

You will work with a cross-functional team, conduct outreach, and help translate complex public information for diverse audiences. The role requires strong writing, editing, and coordination skills, experience with AP style, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while upholding social justice

Qualifications

• 4+ years of work experience in community engagement or strategic communications
• Experience in PR/comms/public affairs consulting, customer or client service, construction and/or for government agencies
• Experience with government agencies is desirable

Responsibilities

• Support community engagement and construction communications as part of the project plan.
• Plan and execute events and engagement activities for priority communities.
• Conduct door-to-door outreach in identified neighborhoods.
• Write, edit, and format project communications per AP and client guides.
• Capture site photos/videos for use in communications.
• Manage the project inbox and hotline and coordinate responses.
• Assist with media planning and materials for legislative events.
• Schedule meetings, take notes, and track action items.
