Spectraforce Technologies in Wichita, KS is seeking a Transportation Clerk I to handle clerical duties in the Transportation department, ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate driver paperwork. You will process daily logs, respond to driver and delivery issues, and maintain Driver Qualification files.

The role supports operations in a hands-on environment, with attention to DOT guidelines and timely handling of signatures, with daily coordination and communication across teams.

Competenze

• 0-3 Years of Experience.
• This is an Operations position responsible for clerical duties within Transportation, including regulatory compliance under DOT guidelines.
• Gather, organize and process driver daily paperwork, logs, manifest, vehicle inspection, etc.
• Answer phones, route calls and take messages.
• Research short on truck that drivers call in.
• Respond to delivery associate issues and provide resolution support.
• Create Driver Qualification files and maintain documents per DOT requirements (license status, MVR, etc).
• Monitor and review driver logs and violations through onboard computer system.
• Daily monitoring of Drive Cam events and processing for coaching and signatures.

Job Title: Transportation Clerk I

Location: Wichita, KS 67209

Duration: 5 months

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7 am - 5 pm (Schedules are subject to change with business needs).

Interviews: In Person

General Responsibilities

• Organize the customers' orders
• Greet the customers and verify ID
• Provide the cases, scanning each case provided
• Ensure proper signatures on paperwork or handheld
• Return process code in the handheld any orders not picked up at end of day
• Stage for returns shuttle
• Communicate to KC DCI any orders not picked up

Experience & Responsibilities

• 0-3 Years of Experience.
• This is an Operations position responsible for performing clerical duties within the Transportation department, including maintaining all regulatory compliance as required by the Department of Transportation.
• Gather, organize and process driver daily paperwork, logs, manifest, vehicle inspection, etc.
• Answer phones, route calls and take messages.
• Research short on truck that drivers call in.
• Respond to delivery associate issue and provide support for resolution.
• Create Driver Qualification files as needed and maintain all required documents in Supervision as required under Department of Transportation guidelines, i.e. drivers license status, Medical Examination Cards, Certificate of Violations, monitor MVR status, etc.
• Monitor and review all driver logs and violations through the onboard computer system, Telogis; Run daily reports for transportation supervisors, i.e. Observations, Vehicle Tracking, etc.
• Daily monitoring of Drive Cam Events and processing them for coaching and signatures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English, basic arithmetic skills.
• Good physical stamina and conditioning.
• The ability to learn to understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
