Volkert Inc. is seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer - Transportation for the Southwest Region in Texas, with multiple city options like Houston, McKinney, Rockwall, Round Rock, San Antonio, or Tyler. This role focuses on TXDOT and local government projects, delivering structural and roadway design solutions.

The engineer will drive design, analysis, and permitting tasks, collaborating with teams to ensure quality, safety, and on-time delivery of projects across the region.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Licensed PE preferred or clearly pursuing licensure.
• Minimum 4+ years of relevant civil engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and modify reports, specifications, plans, and construction schedules.
• Evaluate design changes and recommend modifications.
• Coordinate with construction personnel on constructability and sequencing.
• Use engineering software to prepare design documents.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and permit submissions.
