Volkert Inc. is seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer - Transportation to support our Southwest Region in Texas, including Round Rock. You will lead geometric design work for TXDOT and local agencies, ensuring quality and compliance across projects.

Responsibilities include preparing reports and plans, evaluating design changes, and coordinating with field teams. A PE license and ABET-accredited degree are required; 4+ years of experience is expected.

Qualifikationen

• B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory MVR.

Aufgaben

• Prepare and modify reports, specifications, plans, schedules, environmental studies, and designs for projects.
• Evaluate need for design changes and make recommendations.
• Consult with construction personnel on constructability related to field conditions, sequencing, and scheduling.
• Use CAE software to prepare engineering and design documents.
• Adhere to quality assurance and control per the quality manual.
• Submit documents for code compliance reviews and obtain required permits.
