Job summary

Centro Escolar University seeks an intern to support field and office inspections across drainage, environmental, ITS, tolling systems, and structural assets. You will assist data collection, walkdowns, and update the asset management system, gaining hands-on exposure to transportation projects on the Illinois Tollway.

This internship requires active enrollment in Civil Engineering or related program, the ability to follow directions, strong driving skills, and solid proficiency in Microsoft

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in an accredited Civil Engineering undergraduate program.
• Ability to take direction from leadership and mentors to execute projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to drive on Illinois Tollways in various conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data collection related to inspections.
• Support field inspections including drainage, environmental, ITS, tolling, and structural inspections.
• Assist in office inspections covering pavement and safety assets.
• Collaborate with the team and update the asset management system.
• Identify repair activities and support transportation project experiences.
