Stanley Consultants is seeking a Student Intern for our Transportation Construction Services Department in Chicago, IL. You will work with senior engineers and inspectors on a broad range of construction management projects, gaining hands-on experience across local and interstate projects.

The role emphasizes learning quality metrics, testing requirements, and field reporting while performing calculations and coordinating tasks within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science program with the ability to obtain Engineering-In-Training status; Construction Management emphasis is preferred
• Must be at least a college sophomore
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Driving record in good standing
• Able to work in a team environment
• Displays eagerness to learn new tasks and ask questions as needed
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated organization and time management abilities
• Extended hours may be required, anticipated 40+ hours/week, but not guaranteed

Responsibilities

• Assist with oversight of various infrastructure projects in the construction phase.
• Learn quality metrics, testing requirements, and construction inspection duties.
• Make field work calculations and daily reports in a format that can easily be checked by others.
• Coordinate work activities with other staff members assigned to a project.
