The Civil Engineer, in San Luis Obispo, CA, invites motivated Civil Engineer Interns to join our growing team. You will apply foundational knowledge from your degree to support a range of civil engineering tasks under close supervision, gaining practical experience in a real-world consulting environment.

Our hybrid work model blends in-office collaboration with flexible scheduling, three days per week in the Roseville office to contribute, connect, and grow with the team.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Contract Management: Carry out a range of contract management tasks.
• Data Collection and Analysis: Produce accurate reports for others by collecting data from a variety of standard sources and inputting it into standard formats.
• Engineering Inspections: Provide technical support to inspections of the quality of engineering works and/or the integrity of existing installations or structures, and the remedial works needed in accordance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
• Engineering Solutions Design: Implement feasibility testing of proposed engineering solutions, under supervision, to provide feedback and contribute to validation of the design.
• Health, Safety, and Environment: Follow the organization's health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate risks and to safeguard the environment and the well-being of self and others.
• Improvement/Innovation: Support others by implementing improvements and carrying out simple change management tasks.
• Knowledge Management System: Carry out simple knowledge management tasks by following established procedures in order to support others.
• Personal Capability Building: Develop and maintain excellent process or technical skills by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching.
• Product and Solution Development: Support others by carrying out a range of product development and engineering activities, such as analyzing client situations or interpreting data.
