Job summary

STV, Inc. invites applications for a Civil Engineering Intern to join our team. This hybrid position requires at least three days per week in the office, with preference for a minimum 3‑month commitment and potential for full-time engagement.

You will assist in design work, collaborate across disciplines, and interact with clients and regulatory agencies while gaining exposure to AutoCAD and Civil 3D software. Compensation is tailored to education level and location.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering at an ABET-accredited University or NCEES equivalent.
• Knowledge of MicroStation, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and/or Open Roads Designer.
• Experience in the architecture/engineering/construction management industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing civil engineering projects from conceptualization through completion.
• Collaborate with architects, environmental engineers, and stakeholders to integrate project elements.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies on project issues.
• Support feasibility studies, site investigations, and risk assessments.
• Assist in preparing technical reports and development applications.
• Contribute to engineering designs using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Learn current engineering standards and procedures on assigned projects.
• Assist in preparing technical proposals and documentation.
