Job summary

RS&H, Inc. in Houston is seeking a Civil Field Engineering Inspection Intern for Summer 27 to join our CEI team.

You will gain hands-on experience in field inspections, data collection, and reporting while learning the full life cycle of transportation projects. The ideal candidate is pursuing an ABET-accredited civil/construction engineering degree, demonstrates strong communication, and can work both independently and in a team.

Qualifications

• Pursuing ABET-accredited civil/construction engineering related degree.
• Able to work independently with supervision and in a team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Good driving record with a valid driver’s license.
• Physically able to sit/stand, lift up to 50 lb and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Support inspection teams with field inspections.
• Verify dimensions of prepared and completed work.
• Collect and prepare data for evaluation.
• Perform engineering with computer-assisted software and equipment.
• Prepare reports for site operations activities, including materials used and completed work.
• Provide support to engineering and project management associates.
