Job summary

RS&H is offering a Civil Field Engineering Inspection Intern position for Summer 2027 in the Denver and Fort Collins, CO area. The role provides mentorship from senior engineers and hands-on field experience in transportation construction management.

The ideal candidate is pursuing a Civil Engineering or related ABET-accredited program, can work independently and in a team, and has strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Engineering Management, or related ABET-accredited program.
• Ability to work independently with supervision and in a team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, climb, bend, twist, or stoop for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Support inspection teams with field inspections.
• Verify the dimensions of prepared and completed work.
• Collect and prepare data for evaluation.
• Perform engineering tasks using CADD/engineering software and equipment.
• Prepare reports for site operations activities including materials used and completed work.
• Provide support to engineering and project management associates.
