Consor is seeking a Transportation CAD Technician in Houston to provide high-quality drafting support across municipal and transportation projects. You will review and refine engineering drawings, develop plan sets, and coordinate with engineers and design teams to ensure compliance and constructability.

The role covers the full project lifecycle from early planning to permitting documentation, with opportunities to grow technical skills and contribute to meaningful infrastructure improvements.

Qualifikationen

• CAD/drafting training or equivalent experience.
• Experience with transportation engineering; TxDOT preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D; plan production and drafting standards.

Aufgaben

• Review roadway, drainage, traffic control, and utility construction plans to develop accurate design drawings and contract documents.
• Prepare and revise detailed roadway design plans, profiles, cross-sections, and corridor models using CAD software.
• Produce roadway plan sets in coordination with engineers and design teams to ensure compliance with standards.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation including quantity calculations and technical reports.
• Create and modify alignments, surfaces, corridors, and grading models using Civil 3D.
• Perform quality control reviews of plan sets for drafting accuracy and design consistency.
• Coordinate with survey, drainage, utility, and transportation teams to integrate elements and resolve conflicts.
• Prepare construction plans and signage layouts for transportation projects.
