Job summary

Consor seeks a Roadway CAD Technician to support infrastructure projects from planning through permitting documentation. You will refine engineering drawings, coordinate with engineers and design teams, and contribute to project delivery with precise CAD outputs.

The role emphasizes proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, collaboration, and attention to detail within municipal and transportation settings.

Qualifications

Relevant training in CAD, drafting, or design technology or equivalent experience.
Proficiency with transportation design tools and standards.

Responsibilities

Review roadway, drainage, traffic control, and utility construction plans to develop accurate design drawings and contract documents.
Prepare and revise detailed roadway design plans, profiles, cross-sections, and corridor models using CAD software.
Produce plan sets in coordination with engineers and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure compliance with standards.
Develop and maintain engineering documentation including quantity calculations, plan sheets, exhibits, and reports.
Create and modify alignments, surfaces, corridors, and grading models using Civil 3D for roadway design.
Perform quality control reviews of plan sets for drafting accuracy and compliance with standards.
Coordinate with survey, drainage, utility, and transportation teams to integrate design elements and resolve conflicts.
Prepare construction plans, erosion control plans, signing and pavement marking layouts for projects.
